Welcome message of Tanevski family

Dear students, dear professors, dear guests,

This year we organized the second International Student Conference. Again 50 students and professors are together to discuss an interesting subject. As a family we are very proud that the idea of the professors and students of ACT to create a Memorial Fund became reality.

Mr Tanevski and the winner Rudi Nderim
Our warm welcome to the professors, university assistants and students, guests from Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Kosovo and students from the Universities in Skopje and Tetovo.

This conference is dedicated to the students from Balkan countries, to exchange ideas about EU integration, to talk and debate freely without any political or national prejudices. But it is also an opportunity for the young students to create new friendships and more tolerance between them. The ambitions of our son Borjan was to contribute for open borders, better Balkan cooperation and EU integration. Now we hope that your generation will be motivated enough to use your energy for further preparations of our countries for their path to EU.

Our big gratitude goes first to ACT Prof. Dr. Mueller for his big support of this Fund. We also thank the student government of ACT and all donors who supported the fund. Many thanks to the jury of the essay competition Prof. Dr. Maleska, Prof. Dr. Mueller, Prof. Dr. Wisner, Prof. Dr. Kourkoumelis and Prof. Dr. Zaicos for their professional work. We also thank “Konrad Adenauer Foundation” for their generosity to be the first partner and sponsor in organizing this conference again.

Let us congratulate all students who participated on the essay competition and especially Rudi Nderim for the best essay.

We hope this conference will be traditional and will continue gathering young students for new ideas and initiatives, new competitions and new visions. We will be very glad if the memory of our son and his personality becomes a motivation for your strongger contribution for the prosperity of your countries.

D-r Josif Tanevski
father of Borjan Tanevski
