Welcome message of Tanevski family

As a family of Borjan Tanevski we are very proud that the idea of the professors and students of ACT for creation of a Memorial Fund is realized. This meeting gathered about 50 talented students and professors from different countries.

The idea was to give to the students opportunity to talk and debate freely about a subject interesting for SEE countries. At the same time to make possibility for new friendships for better understanding and more tolerance between them. The ambition of Borjan to contribute for open borders, better Balkan cooperation and European integration of SEE and Republic of Macedonia will be reality sooner or later. But now it is a period when we need the energy of the young generation, their visions for new Europe where SEE is integrated, we need your open mind, your optimism and your action.

Our big gratitude goes first to ACT Prof. Dr. Mueller and Prof. Dr. Wisner for their big support of this Fund. We also thank the student government of ACT and all donors who supported the fund. Many thanks to the jury of the essay competition Prof. Dr. Maleska, Prof. Dr. Mueller, Prof. Dr. Wisner, Prof. Dr. Tsanakas and Prof. Dr. Zaicos for their professional work. We also thank “Konrad Adenauer Foundation” for their generosity to be the first partner and sponsor in organizing this conference.

Our warm welcome to the professors present today and the guests from Greece, Slovenia, Bulgaria and others.

Let us congratulate all students who participated on the essay competition: lvan Firic (Croatia), Mathija Alvis (Albania), Spasojevic Slavica, Zdravevski Konstantin, Martina Samarova, (Republic of Macedonia) and we congratulate Biljana Meskovska for the best essay.

We wish the meeting becomes a tradition and initiates new competitions, new friendships and new visions of SEE. We will be glad if the memory of our son and his personality becomes a motivation for our strongger contribution for the prosperity of your countries and SEE.
